Recycling Picture of the Week: Romania

Faithful reader Craig Benton has provided us the following picture:

Just thought that I would send a picture from Europe. Here is a shot of a man collecting recyclable metal in Bucharest Romania. The country is poor but is about to join the European Union next year. Things are now looking up after so many decades of communist domination.

Recycling Picture of the Week: Costa Rica

I was able to snap a few shots of just a couple of the abundant recycling containers scattered about the country. Most of the places we visited were modernized and so they offered recycling containers for a variety of items. Below are the pictures of the containers at INBioparque, a natural habitat “theme park” just outside San Jose. This was where we were able to see a couple sloth, thousands of butterflies, iguanas, crocodiles, turtles and a large variety of plants.

The other two are the containers offered at Carara National Park, on the Pacific Coast side of Costa Rica. And lastly, the English language containers I saw at the Selvatura Canopy Adventure. If you ever have a chance to visit Costa Rica, I definitely recommend doing a canopy tour. We zip lined through the tree tops, way above the forest floor. The views were absolutely amazing! - Brian
